Private Erg Chegaga 3-day circuit from Agadir: a tailor-made 4x4 journey, bivouac and camel trek in the Sahara.
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup in Agadir aboard your private 4x4 vehicle. You will drive toward Taliouine, the capital of red gold, where you will stop to visit a local cooperative and discover the secrets of saffron cultivation. The journey continues to Tazenakhet, a renowned artisanal hub famous for its splendid hand-woven Berber carpets, offering the perfect stop to admire the weavers' craftsmanship. In the late afternoon, you will cross the volcanic landscapes of the Anti-Atlas to reach the peaceful palm grove of Agdez, where you will spend the night in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
After breakfast, you will drive along the sublime Draa Valley, a massive oasis dotted with millions of palm trees and fortified villages. You will make a first stop to explore the historic Kasbah of Oulad Othmane, a stunning masterpiece of earthen architecture. Your route then leads to Tamegroute, famous for its medieval underground library, its Quranic school, and its traditional green pottery workshops, which are unique in the world. After passing M'hamid, the 4x4 leaves the asphalt to hit the wild tracks of the deep desert. Upon arriving at the Erg Chigaga camp, you will enjoy a memorable camel ride at sunset, followed by a traditional dinner and a nomadic musical evening around the campfire under the stars.
You will wake up at dawn to witness the magical spectacle of the sunrise over the giant dunes. After breakfast, the 4x4 will set off for a spectacular crossing of Lake Iriqui, a vast, flat, dried-up lake bed that stretches as far as the eye can see. You will continue along a wild desert track to the small town of Foum Zguid for a well-deserved lunch break. Finally, you will begin the return journey toward the coast, passing through Tazenakhet once more, arriving in Agadir late in the evening with unforgettable memories.
