Erg Chegaga 3-Day Budget Circuit From Marrakech

Your desert tour begins in Ouarzazate around 9:00 am. Crossing the Anti-Atlas mountains via the Tizi-N-Tinifift pass (1710m), you’ll reach Agdz and follow the scenic Draa Valley, dotted with ancient kasbahs, palm groves, and traditional villages. Lunch in Zagora.
On the way to Mhamid, stop in Tamgroute to visit its famous pottery workshops and the ancient Quranic library. End the day with a night under the stars in a comfortable desert camp.

After breakfast, enjoy a one-hour camel trek in the dunes. Continue the adventure by 4x4 across the Sahara’s diverse landscapes – Erg (sand dunes), Reg (stony desert), and Hamada (rocky plateau). Pause in a hidden desert oasis before arriving at Erg Chegaga for lunch in a desert camp.
The afternoon is free to explore the dunes. At Erg Chegaga, admire the magical sunset and sunrise in this breathtaking setting. Spend the night in tents with a lively evening around the campfire.

Depart Erg Chegaga along sandy tracks leading to the dry lake of Iriqui. Continue toward Foum Zguid, where the paved road begins again, then head to Taznakht before reaching Ouarzazate. Lunch en route, with time to enjoy your last moments in the desert before returning.
