4-day trek in the Moroccan desert. Meeting at M'Hamid, the gateway to the Moroccan desert, to start our 4-day trek. After getting to know our team and loading the dromedaries, we begin crossing the desert, passing through the Draa River and the palm groves. We will take a lunch break in the shade of the tamarisks before continuing towards the Sidi Naji dunes. Upon arrival, we will set up our bivouac and enjoy a magnificent sunset. Evening around the fire, under a starry sky. Night under the stars or in a tent.
After a well-deserved breakfast, our trek continues towards the impressive dunes of Zahar, known as the 'Howling Dunes.' These are among the highest dunes in the Moroccan desert, offering a spectacular view at sunrise and sunset. We will pass through the ancient village of Bousnina and have the opportunity to search for buried treasures in the sand, such as pearls and ancient pottery. In the evening, around the campfire, we will discover the traditional method of baking sand bread and enjoy a star-gazing session with a telescope. Night under the tent or under the stars.
In the morning, we will continue our trek towards the Ait Ounir dunes. After a spectacular sunrise over the dunes, we will head towards our next destination by crossing the desert. Lunch break in the shade of the tamarisks to refuel. The afternoon will be an opportunity to admire the endless landscapes of the desert. In the evening, we will celebrate our last night in the heart of the Sahara around the campfire. Night under the tent or under the stars.
For this final day, we will continue our crossing of the desert towards the Draa Valley. Along the way, we will enjoy the silence of the desert and the unique landscapes of the Sahara. We will take a final lunch break before returning to M'Hamid at the end of the day, where our adventure will come to an end.
