The 6-day trek in the Moroccan desert begins in M'hamid, the iconic gateway to the Sahara in Morocco. Whether on foot or by camel, we cross the Oued Drâa, a majestic river, heading toward the tomb of Sidi Naji, a spiritual place rich in history and culture.

After about 2 hours and 30 minutes of walking at the camel’s pace, we take a break to enjoy a lunch under the tamarisk trees, savoring traditional dishes prepared on-site, in the heart of the wild Saharan nature. In the afternoon, we walk for about 1 hour to reach the dunes of Sidi Naji, where we admire a spectacular sunset over the dunes—an unforgettable scene in the heart of the Moroccan Sahara.

In the evening, we gather around a campfire, share stories and laughter, while marveling at the starlit sky. Finally, we spend the night in a tent or under the open sky, lulled by the peaceful silence of the Moroccan desert.

After a gentle awakening in the heart of the Moroccan desert, we continue our journey on foot through the Moroccan Sahara towards the dunes of Azmila. This day is dedicated to fully exploring the beauty of the desert, with a single stage to fully enjoy the afternoon in the dunes and experience an unforgettable sunset over the vast expanses of sand.

We will have the opportunity to taste sand bread cooked in the hot sand, a typical delicacy of the southern Moroccan cuisine, while gathering around a warm bivouac fire. This convivial moment in the desert will allow us to share desert songs and enjoy the magical atmosphere that reigns under the starry sky.

We will then spend the night in the heart of the Sahara, in a nomadic bivouac, cradled by the soothing silence and the wild beauty of the Moroccan Sahara.

This day of our Trek in the Desert of Morocco takes us to the mythical Zahar Dunes, among the most spectacular in the Moroccan desert. This day of our Trek in the Desert of Morocco takes us through the reg of Nabket Ounabgui to reach the magnificent Erg Essmar Dunes, located near a well bordering the Draa Valley. This stage is perfect for experiencing the soothing solitude of the desert, discovering the traces of nomadic agriculture from times past, and reconnecting with nature.

A refreshment is possible at the well, an ideal moment to quench your thirst and enjoy the Saharan environment. In the evening, we will spend the night in a bivouac under the starry sky, cradled by the silence of the Moroccan desert and the magic of the Sahara.

We continue our 6-day trek in the Moroccan desert towards the dunes of Nabak Boughabra, passing by a well-used by nomads in the heart of the desert, time permitting. This stage is ideal for discovering the authenticity of the Sahara and the life of the desert inhabitants.

We will take a midday break in the shade of the tamarisks, enjoying a moment of relaxation before continuing our hike. In the evening, we will spend the night in Berber tents or under the open sky, cradled by the soothing calm of the Moroccan desert and the magic of the Sahara of Morocco.

We experience our last moments of walking in the magnificent scenery of the Moroccan desert. This return to M’hamid marks the end of this human and natural adventure in the heart of the Sahara of Morocco.

We will have lunch on the way, enjoying one last moment to savor the local cuisine before concluding our 6-day trek in the desert. We will arrive in the village in the afternoon, filled with unforgettable memories and a deep connection to the nature of the Moroccan desert.
