Ali – Natural Spaces Guide in Morocco
Born to 100% nomadic parents in the Moroccan desert, under the palm of an oasis, Ali grew up between the desert and villages, benefiting from schooling provided by his parents. A nomad of a different kind, he worked all over Morocco before settling in M’hamid, the gateway to the Moroccan desert.
As a natural spaces guide certified by the National Tourism Office, Ali founded Sables Émouvants after extensive experience organizing treks in the desert, the Atlas Mountains, the Valley of Roses, and the Dadès Gorges. He also organizes nature discovery workshops (ornithology) and yoga retreats.
Ali is fluent in Arabic, French, and English.

Ismaïl – Guide and Manager in Morocco
Ali’s younger brother, Ismaïl, grew up in M’hamid and later studied English literature in Marrakech. After working as a camel driver, cook, guide, and tourist driver for various agencies, he partnered with Ali to found Sables Émouvants.
Specializing in organizing hikes and bivouacs in the desert and mountains of southern Morocco, Ismaïl also accompanies travelers in 4x4 vehicles to help them discover Morocco and the Moroccan desert with a local’s perspective.
He speaks Arabic, English, and French.

Mouloud – Desert Guide and Communications Manager
Mouloud grew up between the village of M’hamid and the oasis, spending about four months a year living under tents to harvest dates and tend to animals. After completing his studies in M’hamid and Marrakech, he worked in tourism as a guide, camel driver, cook, and manager of a mobile bivouac.
Having lived in Belgium for 10 years, he easily bridges Europe and Morocco and frequently returns to recharge. Mouloud is fluent in French and can help you create a tailor-made trip and possibly accompany you.
He speaks Arabic, French, and English.
